The Team from Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) along with key Aberdeen partners showcased the City at the annual ‘Aberdeen Invasion’.
The event, which was held at London’s Hotel Café Royal on Thursday, allowed the Aberdeen partners to showcase the key developments in the city, including the £333 million campus that will be home to a new events venue, to a number of UK event professionals from the conference, exhibition and entertainment industries.
Louise Lonie, Director of Sales and Marketing at AECC said, “The annual Aberdeen Invasion in London allows us to keep in touch with our clients to make sure they are kept informed about the exiting developments happening in Aberdeen.
With the new venue being planned for 2019, the renovation of the Music Hall and all the other developments happening in the North-east, we really do have a lot to shout about and events like this are key for getting the word out and to get in front of key decision makers, keeping Aberdeen on the map for their next event.”
Neil Brownlee, Head of Business Events at VisitScotland said, “We were delighted to support AECC and VisitAberdeenshire at this gathering of their key London clients. The developments in the city are a fundamental part of the step change occurring in business and live events in Scotland. We are proud to have our Aberdeen partners as the lynchpins, new and evolving, in Scotland’s offering, and we look forward to working closely with Team Aberdeen on all these exciting endeavours.
