Today Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) welcomes Subsea 2013 to the Venue for it’s ninth consecutive year.  This two-day conference and exhibition is held annually at AECC and has recently committed to continuing at the AECC until 2016.

Subsea 2013 will welcome over 140 exhibiting companies, and, with over 3, 700 visitors already pre-registered for the event, it is set to be a busy show.  The event runs over two days at AECC on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th February with the prestigious Subsea UK 2013 Awards dinner taking place on Wednesday evening with 842 guests attending.

As part of an on-going commitment to best practice in exhibition industry event management AECC are part of an initiative to improve regulations at UK event venues, this ‘eGuide’ initiative focuses on achieving common standards of health and safety, operation planning, management and on-site conduct for events at UK venues.

Subsea 2013 is the first event hosted at AECC which is working with this new initiative.  Trish Banks, Operations Manager for Subsea UK, commented: “Subsea UK holds its flagship conference at the AECC every year and we have always found the Venue to be of the highest standards and the team great to work with. This new initiative will add an extra dimension to conference standards, offering an even smoother experience for us as an organiser and our exhibiting companies.”

Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director, commented: “Subsea 2013 follows on from last week’s Offshore Wind and Supply Chain conference which was highly successful and saw visitor numbers double from the previous year.  With Subsea 2013 already having a high number of pre-registered visitors, already we can see that the appointment of impressive speakers combined with a notable list of exhibitors will attract more visitors last year’s successful event.  AECC’s in-house exhibition team work closely with the organisers and have completed stand builds for four of the exhibiting companies.”
