Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) was pleased to welcome the Scottish Kids Show, to the GE Oil & Gas Arena, over the weekend (28th and 29th June).

The newest show in Xcite Media’s show portfolio, the Scottish Kids Show was officially opened on Saturday morning by Aberdeen’s Lord Provost and welcomed its 4, 500th visitor through the doors just before it drew to a close at 5pm last night, Sunday 29th June.

Visitors enjoyed a jam-packed weekend, with exhibitors such as big brand names Jamie’s Italian Aberdeen, New Look, Halfords, Macdonalds Aviemore Resort, John Clark Motor Group, amongst many others, as well as fashion shows and lots of interactive activities for the whole family!

Director of Xcite Media Ltd, Darren Ross commented: “We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the interest given to the Scottish Kids Show this weekend. As with any new event, we weren’t sure what to expect from exhibition, but we are delighted with the outcome and the support received – from our exhibitors, sponsors and from the general public.

“The children’s retail and leisure market is hugely expansive, with parents, potential parents and family members flocking to the show to find out about anything from activities for their kids, to car seat safety and tips on how to overcome fussy eating habits. The seminars, demonstrations and daily fashion show proved to be exceptionally popular, and provided visitors with the chance to get valuable tips and trends for the coming year.

“We sold all our exhibition space pre-event, taking over the majority of the GE Oil and Gas Arena and have also had a huge interest already for exhibition space next year, having confirmed our 2015 show dates as 27th– 28th June. We can’t wait to start planning it!”

Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director said: “We are very pleased to see the inaugural show has been such a success. Aberdeen has an appetite for consumer shows such as this, and it is great to see so many people here enjoying the best of the North East’s local businesses for families.”
