At AECC we recognise that our event management activities, products, services and operations have the potential to have both a positive and negative environmental, social and economic impact.
We are committed to demonstrating leadership and to on-going consideration of our potential legacy with the implementation of event sustainability, and continually improve wherever practicable.
The latest iteration of our Sustainability Policy was released last week (Version 4: 27th August 2014) and includes expanded details of our values, issues and objectives.
It also details a redefined scope; which takes into account that we can positively influence our client events to implement sustainable practises when planning and running their events. As part of our event management we endeavour to make recommendations which will form part of the ongoing monitoring and measuring of events, which we have committed to undertaking.
The scope for our ISO 20121 management system takes into account the event management cycle for events managed by AECC; from conception to planning through to implementation, review and post event activities.
