There’s lots happening at AECC this month!

This Saturday we will welcome The Original 106 Pride of Aberdeen Awards, celebrating the best of the city, with categories including Local Citizen and Carer and Teacher of the Year.  The star-studded event features entertainment from Carol Decker with T’Pau and Go West.  With 16 winners to be announced, the prestigious gala dinner is sure to be a night to remember.


15 November: Simply Red return to the GE Oil and Gas Arena to celebrate 25 years of their classic album ‘Stars.  The first half of the show will feature the band’s hits and classic songs with the second half featuring the full album in its original running order. 23 – 24 November: LiftEx, the UK’s leading lifting exhibition, is making its first appearance not only to AECC but to Scotland. The two-day event features over 100 exhibitors demoing the latest lifting products and services to the 1, 500 visitors expected to attend.


26 – 27 November: The Scottish Kids Show will return with a weekend packed full of events for all the family. The show will see exhibitors offering a shopping opportunity plus activities for all kids young and old. Take an 8ft T-Rex for a walk, visit the dinosaur petting zoo and dino dig, race your friends on pony cycles and scooters and try the GIANT slide, bouncy castles and soft play areas. The show will also get a special visit form Santa Claus and offer children the opportunity to hand deliver their Christmas letters to the man himself. For one weekend only, the family will be able to go to the very top of the AECC Tower, Aberdeen’s highest 360° viewing point! Tickets start from £5 and can be purchased from


30 November (St Andrew’s Day): Biffy Clyro will rock the arena as part of their European tour. Ayrshire rockers, Simon, James and Ben, will bring support from ‘Brand New’ as they play to their Aberdeen fans on their Ellipsis Tour. Tickets start from £38.50 and can be purchased from
