Irish band The Script have just announced their 2011 UK Arena tour and it will include a night at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre’s (AECC’s) Press & Journal Arena on Tuesday 22nd March 2011. The announcement of their biggest tour to date comes after their recent number one album ‘Science & Faith’ which includes the top five single ‘For The First Time’.
“We are delighted to announce The Script will be coming to AECC next year. 2011 is shaping up to be a great year so far, with six shows already confirmed to take place in the first four months of 2011, ” says Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director.
The Script’s new album is the follow up to their self-titled 2008 debut album which sold 1.8 million copies. Featuring a variety of hit singles, including ‘Breakeven’, ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ and ‘We Cry’, 2008’s ‘The Script’, went straight to number one in the UK and Irish Charts and lead to the band being personally asked by Paul McCartney to support him at a number of US stadium shows.
