Our annual Burns Celebration took place on 26 January; around 80 partners, clients and stakeholders were welcomed to the venue‘s Boyd Orr Hall where they experienced an evening of true rustic Scottish style.
A piper greeted guests on arrival before an evening celebrating Robert Burns’ most famous works including the famous Address to a Haggis, and Tam O’Shanter.
The audience were then taken back in time as they witnessed a re-enactment of a traditional battle between Highland Clansmen before being given the opportunity to take part themselves and meet the Highlanders.
The evening’s menu took pride in showcasing delicious local produce including Grampian lamb, North-East salmon and Aberdeen Angus; and of course the night wouldn’t be complete without haggis.
Thank you to all who attended and contributed to a memorable evening. The event raised £500 for our charity of the year, Friends of ANCHOR.
