Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) are happy to let you know that chart-topper Example will be playing the AECC’s Press & Journal Arena on Tuesday 24th April, 2012 as part of his UK Tour.
The announcement of this UK Tour comes hot on the heels of Example flying high at the top of the charts with his album Playing in the Shadows at number one in the album chart, and his single Stay Awake is at number five in the singles chart!
Example, who’s stage name comes from his initials EG (real name, Elliot Gleave), which is the abbreviation for “exempli gratia”, meaning “for example”. His musical style
is unique, he says “Started off singing. Then rapping. Now back to singing. But still rap occasionally.” (source: Twitter, @example).
AECC’s Managing Director, Brian Horsburgh, says, “Having Example choose AECC as his only Scottish date is great news for the North East of Scotland, he has a large following up here and we have had great feedback on the news he is coming to Aberdeen.”
Tickets for Example go on sale from Friday the 16th September at 9am priced at £23.50 plus booking fee and are available from Ticketmaster on 08444 77 9000 or online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk. The show is suitable for over 14s only.
