Having so many fantastic shows already lined up in the Granite City from funny man Russell Howard to Aberdeen’s own Emeli Sandé, 2017 is looking to be quite the year at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC).
Kicking off the venues entertainment line-up for the year will be pop-rock band, Busted who will make their debut in the city on Friday 24th February. The band, who recently returned to music following a split in 2005, have released “Night Driver”, their first album in over a decade and have seen huge success since making their comeback.
Returning for the ninth year, the X Factor Live Tour will be rolling into Aberdeen on Tuesday 28th February with winner Matt Terry taking centre stage along with the final seven contestants from the hit show including the ever controversial, Honey G. Speaking of the tour, runner up Saara Aalto said “I’m so excited to go around Britain, there are so many places I have never been before and I can’t wait to see all those places…”.
Following on from X Factor, Russell Howard will be making Aberdeen crowds laugh for two nights on 22nd and 23rd March and with the first night almost sold out, fans can help Russell celebrate his birthday by joining him on the 23rd. His “Round the World” tour will kick off in February and will see him tour the UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and America.
After one of the most talked about and relevant returns to music by an artist in decades, Craig David will be performing classic hits plus new material for fans in Aberdeen. The MOBO Award winner of Best Male Act in 2016 and Brit Award nominee will play AECC for the first time on Tuesday 4th April and fans are promised something special as he takes to the stage with a full band, followed by an acoustic set and finished off with his famous ‘TS5’ set.
Summer will see Olly Murs follow in the footsteps of Elton John’s 2015 performance when the Essex heartthrob will take to a specially constructed outdoor arena on the grounds of AECC for 16,000 fans in the North-east on Friday 21st July. The spectacular set up for Olly will allow double the amount of fans to come and see the X Factor star who has had unprecedented fame since first becoming the runner up on the show in 2009.
Tickets for all of these shows plus much more are still available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk/AECC or 08444 77 9000.
