Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is delighted to this week be welcoming the 22nd Annual Meeting of the United Kingdom Continence Society (UKCS), which will take place at the Venue from Wednesday 25th to Friday 27th March.
This annual three-day Conference is expected to attract around 300 experts to the Region; with a scientific programme offering high quality, clinical education for all specialists promoting continence. With an Exhibition running alongside the Conference sessions, this event provides a stimulating and exciting experience for delegates.
The event is brought to AECC by the committee chaired by James N’Dow and Charis Glazener from the University of Aberdeen and Voula Granitsiotis, Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Trust, with support from VisitScotland in the form of subvention funding, match funded by VisitAberdeen.
The committee commented: “We are delighted to welcome the UKCS Conference to Aberdeen, to share in what we hope will be a stimulating educational and scientific programme, providing a state-of-the-art update on various relevant hot topics. As well as a range of Keynote Lectures and academic programme we have a hands-on clinical skills workshop on bulking agents, which will provide practical as well as theoretical experience; and another on how to design and conduct a Cochrane review. We have a mix of Meet the Experts sessions on clinical topics as well as how to design and conduct randomised controlled trials – something for which Aberdeen is famous.”
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director, commented: “As a City rich in medical research and innovation, we are pleased that the UKCS have chosen AECC and Aberdeen to host their 2015 Conference and Exhibition. This Conference benefited from being awarded subvention funding from VisitScotland, which is crucial for association organisers when looking at host cities for their events.”
