Legends of Heavy Metal, Iron Maiden, will be rocking Aberdeen once again when they return to Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre’s (AECC) GE Oil & Gas Arena on Wednesday 17th May 2017.
The band last played at the venue in 2011 to a sell-out crowd of 8, 500 fans and the 2017 date is set to be no different when they arrive in the city as part of their 11 date “The Book of Souls” UK Tour.
Maiden are pioneers of British Heavy Metal and initially achieved success in the early 1980’s. Since then, they have penned 38 albums which included 16 studio and 11 live albums. The success achieved by the band has never slowed down and has seen them sell more than 90 million copies of their albums worldwide, win Ivor Novella Awards for International Achievement and play over 2, 000 live shows.
Senior Sales Manager at AECC, Anna Mackenzie said, “It’s great to see Iron Maiden return to Aberdeen as part of their 2017 tour. They were last here in 2011 which was a sell out so if you are a fan, be sure to get your tickets quick.”
