This week (3-5 February), aecc will welcome the world’s largest subsea exhibition and conference, Subsea Expo for the 11th consecutive year. The event showcases the UK’s world-class subsea technology and innovation and provides companies with an opportunity to meet international decision makers.
This year’s theme ‘Time for Transformation’ will look at the fundamental changes the industry must action to deliver the cost savings and efficiencies needed to sustain the sector. More than 6, 000 people from the subsea supply chain market are expected to attend including dignitaries and senior industry figures from across the globe.
With over 200 exhibitors, Subsea Expo is an opportunity for those in the industry to showcase new technology and services. The 2016 programme is packed with high profile industry speakers from a number of companies including Subsea 7, Proserv, GE Oil & Gas and One Subsea. Their presentations will cover global opportunities, key projects around the world, standardisation and optimisation.
The event’s plenary session, chaired by CEO of Subsea UK, Neil Gordon, will provide an overview of the industry and stimulate debate with presentations on collaboration, integration, standardisation and maximising UK Continental Shelf performance. Watch for abbreviations – put in full
A ‘Spotlight on Technology’ session will take place which will look at the near to market technologies that will help maximise economic recovery of hydrocarbons and play a part in the exploitation of stranded small pools in the UKCS.
Subsea Expo’s Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be held on the first evening of the event and will see a selection of the country’s most innovative, dynamic and successful subsea businesses recognised for their success.
