Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) are pleased to announce they have successfully renewed their membership with the Association of Event Venues (AEV).
Association of Event Venues is an organisation which serves an established event venue community, focused on creating and driving platforms that service fundamental industry needs. Becoming a member of this organisation gives the North – East venue a chartered position amongst many other competitor venues and conference spaces. AEV’s array of products and services can significantly benefit business at AECC and help continue its development as a world class conference, event and exhibition centre.
Brian Horsburgh, Managing Director of AECC said, “The AECC have worked hard to meet the requirements of the AEV and are very proud to have successfully renewed our membership with the organisation. The Association of Event Venues will help continue the growth and development of the AECC and continue to create great economic input into the city.”
This newest accreditation adds to the other organisations and associations that AECC has become affiliated with. Hosting over 700 events per year, the centre already contributes an average of £60m per annum to the North – East’s economy, and provides a showcase for the leading technologies and research undertaken in the region. The Centre is poised to contribute further to the future growth of the City Region, recently tipped to be one of the key regions in the UK to lead the country out of recession. This most recent affiliation will only strengthen the centre.
