AECC, in association with the Aberdeen Convention Bureau, and lead academics Ken Forbes and Norval Strachan from the University of Aberdeen, were successful in securing this conference, which is expected to attract around 600 international delegates to Aberdeen in September 2013.
Aberdeen beat off stiff competition from Paris, and won the conference bid with 53% of the vote!
Brian Horsburgh, Managing Director of AECC, said, “This is the second conference that we have secured in the last few weeks, having recently won International Conference on the Bioscience of Lipids for September 2014. The fact we won CHRO 2013 over a city such as Paris is great testament to the City of Aberdeen and it’s attractiveness to international visitors and academics”.
This week sees Offshore Europe hosted at AECC, this major international show for the oil, gas and energy markets is recognised as being significantly important to the City of Aberdeen. Conferences such as CHRO, are also vitally important for the City which has a great wealth of knowledge and research into medical and life sciences.
