Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is delighted to announce that Boyzone will be returning to the AECC Arena as part of their ‘BZ20 The Anniversary Tour’. They will play the AECC Arena on Thursday 12th December, their first date as a band in the City since they were last at the Venue in 2011.
Life was very different in 1993: We bought our music on CD’s and vinyl, mobile phones looked like bricks, there were only four channels on the telly and no-one had the ‘X Factor’ or a ‘Big Brother’. Meatloaf would do ‘Anything For You’, Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan were ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, David Beckham was in his first season at Man U and Facebook, YouTube, iTunes & Twitter were just pipe dreams.
But in November 1993 a bunch of young lads from the North side of Dublin would infamously appear on Ireland’s biggest TV show ‘The Late Late Show’ and the rest, as they say… is history.
Twenty one singles, seven albums, twenty five million record sales, hundreds of gigs, millions of memories and twenty years later, Boyzone are still going strong.
December 2013 will see Ronan, Keith, Shane and Mikey take to the road once more to thank their fans for the incredible support and dedication they have shown over the past twenty years.
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director, said: “Having had Ronan playing at the Venue last night, we are sure fans are delighted to hear he is returning in December with Boyzone, the band that brought him into the spotlight an unbelievable twenty years ago! We are happy to announce this show as a great addition to our strong line-up for 2013.”
Tickets for the show are on sale from Thursday 14th February at 9.00am, priced at £35.50 plus booking fee and are available from Ticketmaster on 08444 77 9000 or online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
