We want a billion people around the world to switch off their lights for one hour – WWF’s Earth Hour.
Earth Hour isn’t just about turning off your lights for 60 minutes and larking around in the dark (though that’s obviously part of it)…
WWF’s Earth Hour is a big statement. If we can get a billion people, or anywhere near that number, to switch off their lights for an hour, drawing attention to the issue of climate change, it sends a clear message to world leaders.
From London to Sydney, New York and Singapore, people across the world will be joining us to switch off their lights. It’s a reminder to us all that we only have one planet Earth. And it’s an urgent message that we want to reduce the impact our energy system has on that planet.
