The Team from Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) joined forces with key Aberdeen partners showcasing Aberdeen in both Edinburgh and London over the last few weeks.
These events were designed to showcase Aberdeen directly to our key clients, contacts, event partners and decision makers in their own cities – bringing Aberdeen to them!
The Team first visited Edinburgh, pairing up with The National Museum of Scotland and Hotel Missoni to treat their invited guests to an evening dedicated to highlighting the benefits of hosting their events further North.
Last week, AECC along with partners from the National Trust for Scotland, VisitAberdeen and Virgin Atlantic hosted key clients and contacts for the ‘Aberdeen Calling London’ event, encouraging them to be brave and bring their events to the vibrant, buoyant North East of Scotland to experience not only a warm welcome but a team ready to assist them in making their event in Aberdeen their best ever.
AECC, along with partners, welcomed over 60 guests from the association, corporate, agency, promoters and media markets to give them a taste of the delights our beautiful Granite City has to offer, and promote Aberdeen City and Shire as a world class destination for national and international conferences and events.
The Team delighted in championing Aberdeen as the destination of choice for conferences, events and concerts. With the aim of attracting further interest in the North East of Scotland and bringing new and diverse visitors to Aberdeen, with a very positive impact on the region as a whole.
Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director, commented: “The Aberdeen region is going through an exciting period, especially for AECC with the advent of the new Venue in the coming years.”
Louise Lonie, Head of Sales at AECC, added: “By taking Aberdeen direct to the capital cities, we are delivering a strong and dynamic message to key industry contacts, that Aberdeen wants their business! Following straight on from the London event, members of the team went on to the International Live Music Conference held over the weekend in London, further putting the Venue in front of the key decision makers.”
