“Fans of Pink Floyd have latched on to the next best thing — The Australian Pink Floyd Show” The Sun
THE AUSTRALIAN PINK FLOYD SHOW returns in 2008 with a stunning new live show, and 56 date tour of the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
Following SIX arena tours of North America in the last four years and directly after their first ever shows in India, the live music and lights spectacle that is TAPFS will reinvent itself once again for its most ambitious musical show to date.
And alongside arenas and venues in major cites and towns in FOURTEEN countries across the entire European continent, TAPFS return to play all over the UK, including TWO nights at the world-famous London Royal Albert Hall; the venue where Floyd founder David Gilmour himself has marvelled at the astounding accuracy of the show: “It’s so strange to watch such an eerily accurate version of yourself perform live on a stage! They do the Floyd thing so well, but still manage to put their own stamp of humour in there. Very funny!”
After the breathtaking note-for-note reproductions of ‘Wish You Were Here’ and ‘The Dark Side of The Moon’ in recent years, now, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, extended extracts from Floyd’s seminal 1979 classic double album ‘THE WALL’ will be performed live. The show will include many tracks never previously performed live, alongside classic Floyd favourites.
TAPFS have, over the past fifteen years, developed into one of the best and most watched rock shows on the planet; their audience over thousands of shows in arenas in every continent runs into the millions. And the phenomenon just keeps on growing.
The musicianship is, and always has been, utterly spellbinding. But the 2008 show will receive an even more lavish production, with more lasers, more lights, more complex projections and even better inflatables!
The TAPFS headquarters in Melbourne is promising to deliver ‘the biggest, most spectacular show ever.’
“Rehearsals have already begun,” a spokesman revealed this week, “because to reproduce even parts of the The Wall is going to be a massive task, one that will take many months to prepare. It’s a major challenge, the album represents Pink Floyd at their most flamboyant, and the shows that went with it were immense feats of live production. We want to make this show just as great for our fans as that was!”
