Sporting Events

Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) is capable of hosting a range of sporting events and has hosted a number of events such as WWE wrestling, snooker championships and Thai boxing finals.

Large events such as the wrestling tours are best suited for the Press and Journal Arena, which provides backstage areas and has enough seating to accommodate the large audiences the event draws.

Other events such as the snooker championships are usually held in the AECC’s Boyd Orr hall, which can provide seating and stages for smaller, quieter events.
