‘ABBA -The Show’ is to visit the AECC as part of its latest tour. The show will entertain a 4,500 strong crowd in the AECC’s Press and Journal Arena on Friday, 17 October 2008.
‘ABBA – The Show’ will be performed by Sweden’s Waterloo, a world renowned group who bring ABBA to life, together with The National Symphony Orchestra of London. It follows Agnetha, Benny, Bjorn and Freida’s story from their Eurovision beginnings all the way to major charting success with timeless classics such as ‘Knowing Me Knowing You’, ‘Money Money Money’, ‘Dancing Queen’ and many more.
The show described as “Absolutely the best ABBA since ABBA” even features a saxophonist and guitarist from the original ABBA backing band. It has achieved success around the globe, including a sell-out performance at the famous Hollywood Bowl, while the 2007 premiere at the Royal Albert Hall received rave reviews.
